BREAKAWAY was a life changing experience for many. There were 27 students and 6 staff that attended from UPBC - approx 400 students and counselors from around the state. Matt Furby from California (www.thesourcefym.com) was our speaker and Mike Mentzer and his group, “The Way” from Rivers Edge in Ia Falls led the music. Matt spoke about our Christian walk having a series of mountain top and valley experiences and how important it is to know that God is the same God in the valley as the God on the mountain. He challenged us not to blend in, but to think/act differently...stand out as a Christian (Romans 12:1-2). He wanted us to go home with a mission – to determine what changes we will make.
