Topic: God gives us three commands to guide our patriotism as citizens of our great nation.

a) God commands us to submit to the authority of our civic leaders and obey the laws that they establish.
b) Our obligation to obey the government does not include laws and regulations that violate Scriptural principles.

a) The next time you are tempted not to pay your taxes, think about Jesus humbling Himself and paying a temple tax dedicated to His worship.
b) In our nation we have an additional responsibility to support our government by voting for the officials who run our government.
